車(くるま)の運転(うんてん)操作(そうさ)を誤(あやま)ったとみられています。

警察(けいさつ)によりますと、30日(さんじゅうにち)午後(ごご)8時(はちじ)前(まえ)、日田市(ひたし)で、道路(どうろ)横(よこ)の斜面(しゃめん)で転落(てんらく)しそうになっている軽乗用車(けいじょうようしゃ)を近(ちか)くの人(ひと)が見(み)つけました。

15メートルほど下(した)の川(かわ)には、女性(じょせい)が仰向(あおむ)けの状態(じょうたい)で浮(う)いていて、搬送先(はんそうさき)の病院(びょういん)で死亡(しぼう)が確認(かくにん)されました。

亡(な)くなったのはパート従業員(じゅうぎょういん)の用松梅野さん(ようまつ うめの)（76）で、運転席(うんてんせき)のドアは開(あ)いていました。

警察(けいさつ)は用松(ようまつ)さんが運転(うんてん)操作(そうさ)を誤(あやま)った可能性(かのうせい)があるとみて、事故(じこ)の原因(げんいん)を調べています。
